Steven Dym shot his wife and daughter before killing himself, according to state police.A college fund will be set up for William Dym, the son of Steven and Loretta, who was away at college when the murders and suicide took place.The funeral will be open to the public and the entombment will be private. WILSON, Viola September 12, 1934 - August 31, 2017 Viola (Nannie) Wilson, of Spur Branch Road, Little Creek in Bland County, Virginia went home to her Lord and Savior on Thursday, August 31, 2017 following a long illness. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great- grandmother, and mother-in-law. Born September 12, 1934 on Spur Branch Road to the late Houston Neal and Genoa Davis Brunk. She was a lifelong member of Goshen United Methodist Church on Spur Branch Road. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Luther Hubert Wilson; four brothers, Robert, Marvell, Junior and Vance Brunk; five sisters, Opal Brunk, Mary Meadows, Ben Meadows, Myrtle Steiner, and Grace Hamblin. Survivors include two sons, Donnie Wilson of Little Creek and Dave Wilson and wife Jamie of Spur Branch Road; one granddaughter Nikki Schepers and husband John of Bland, one grandson, Thomas Wilson of Bland; one great- grandson, Arden Ray Schepers; and one great-granddaughter, Leia Cassidy Schepers; two sisters, Betty Wolfe of Spur Branch Road and Hazel Vaughn and husband Vivian of Little Creek; and a very special caregiver and adopted daughter, Joyce Snider; and many nieces and nephews. Viola loved her family and loved spending time with her great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling, quilting and visiting with her family and many friends. She will be greatly missed by all. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September, 2, 2017 at Stevens Funeral Home, 815 Randolph Ave. Pulaski, Virginia from 5 to 7 p.m. The funeral service will follow visitation at 7 p.m. with Pastor Linda Hale officiating the service. Burial will be on Sunday, September 3, 2017, 2 p.m. at Goshen Cemetery, Spur Branch Road.
